It enables scanning of different type of documents in different properties, without human intervention, using powerful scripts. The inbuilt export and integration feature allows the use of it as a scanning workstation with any Document Management and Workflow system. It allows the filing and indexing of documents in the Document Management System and initiate work-items in the Workflow System without understanding the complexities.

Overview
OmniScan can capture documents from any scanner, file system or multi-function scan device. A user can enhance image quality with tools that remove speckles, deskew images, adjust page orientation and more. The system automatically identifies document type based on user-defined scripts, no matter how many pages the document contains. Then, using optical and intelligent character-recognition technologies, the system extracts the required data.

Features
The heart of the Distributed Capture Solution is the Capture Server which centrally controls the capture of documents from the multiple branches and manages the subsequent processing of these documents.
Some of the integral components of this Server are:

Schedule Definition for Transfer
Different schedules and priorities may be set for transfer of document images from various branches to leverage the slack hours (per branch) and optimize bandwidth consumption.

Benefits
Reduced Shipping Costs
OmniScan’s Distributed Capture Solution eliminates the need to ship documents for processing to back office departments.
Better Customer Service
With documents being captured at remote branches, and reaching their intended destinations on-the-fly, TAT may be reduced substantially to provide better and far reaching customer service.
