MindWave launches MindBay PaaS at SMIDEX

Kuala Lumpur, 7 June 2011: MindWave launched MindBay Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) at SMIDEX, Malaysia. A cloud computing service software that provides a single platform for different Software-as-a-Service (SAAS) providers to host their solutions.


Mindbay is a Platform as a Service (PaaS) cloud services software that provides a single platform for all local and international Software as a Service (SaaS) providers to host their solutions. Its advantages include ease of access, lower cost of ownership, reduced infrastructure management responsibility, allowance for unexpected resource loads, faster application rollout, enhanced security and reliability, cost-effectiveness through pay-per-use, and the inclusion of system maintenance in the service.


Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, officiated the launching ceremony at the Cyberjaya Pavilion in SMIDEX 2011 witnessed by Dato. Mukhriz Tun Mahathir, Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry (MITI); Datuk Ir. Dr. Mohamed Al-Amin Abdul Majid, Chairman of SME Corporation Malaysia; Dato. Hafsah Hashim, Chief Executive Officer of SME Corporation Malaysia; and En Ir. Hafidz.


This year Cyberview led its fourth delegation to SMIDEX. The annual SME Innovation Showcase, which has been organised by SME Corporation Malaysia since 1996, aims to showcase the abilities and capacities of Malaysian SMEs to provide products, technologies and services for the global market. With the overarching theme of “Pioneering Business Transformation Through Innovation”, the three-day SMIDEX 2011 at the KL Convention Centre offers a wide array of programmes and activities with an interactive platform for SMEs to showcase their innovative talent, establish networks, and explore to potential market.

The MindBay Launch attracted a lot of attention from the visitors and the SaaS providers, willing to showcase their offerings outside the borders.
